You will join at a pivotal and transformational moment of the business. Being part of the Finance Team, you will be the at the heart of the organisation and able to have impact.

We are looking for a GL Accountant to play a key role within our Finance Department and support our team across all our international entities. In this role, you will report directly to the Group Accounting Manager, and work with another GL Accountant and the broader finance team on tasks such as:

• Take ownership of the accuracy and completeness of financial data for assigned entities across the group
• Be responsible for the end-to-end closing process of selected entities
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and compliance of accounting entries
• Perform monthly closings in accordance with group deadlines and procedures
• Record accruals and deferrals, provisions, depreciations and all other closing entries
• Provide insights on financial movements and explain variances vs prior periods
• Contribute to management reporting and provide insights to stakeholders
• Play a key role in ensuring audit readiness and high-quality supporting documentation
• Act as a business partner by collaborating with all other departments of the group
• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP)
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and workflows, i.e. become more efficient
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes within Odoo (integration of the remaining entities, automation, data quality)

As a GL accountant, you will be working on different countries accounting, ideal for candidates eager to evolve within a structured finance career path. A strong drive for continuous improvement, AI and automation of administrative processes is required for this job, while having a strong foundation in accounting fundamentals, including core processes, entries and reporting.

Could this be you?

• Education: You’ve got a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Experience:  3-5 years of experience in GL or similar role in accounting or finance. A strong preference for multi-year Big 4 background. Understanding the accounting best practices is a key element. Experience in software accounting environment is a plus.
• Tech Savvy: Familiar with modern financial management software (Odoo, Sage100, BrightAnalytics) together with Office suite especially Excel.
• Effective Communicator: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Team Player: you’ve demonstrated success in working collaboratively, with an eye for fostering partnerships across departments and with external partners.
• Languages: You are fluent in English & French. (Spanish is a plus)
• AI driven : You integrate AI in your daily work and driven by using AI to focus on improving/automating basic tasks.
